LEGAL AFFAIRS
Household Content Insurance
Household content insurance is one of the insurance products you really shouldn’t do without.
Household contents insurance in the Netherlands gives, in general, a very extensive coverage against all kinds of unforeseen events that can damage your belongings. TAX
Housing in the Netherlands - Tax Aspects
For expatriates this may be a difficult decision: would buying a house in the Netherlands be a wise decision or not? The fact that the mortgage interest is fully deductible from your taxable income at least makes this option seem very attractive! Or would renting a house be better if you are going to stay here for only a couple of years? And what happens if your employer pays the rent? Can that be done free of tax? Rina Driece takes a look at the various tax consequences and alternatives of buying or renting a house in the Netherlands.

BUSINESS
Can Business Life Be Really Stress Free ?
Over the last month, I have presented the same seminar “Time Re-Discovered” to several businesses in the UK and in Holland. While the issues may differ from business to business, we always come up sooner or later against the same question: is it really possible to have a stress-free existence in today’s challenging business world?
For all the books written on the subject, the newspaper articles, the legislation, the seminars; is there any evidence that there is less stress around that there was ten years ago? Are we chasing a collective illusion?
